Join LA Casting Director Patrick Baca, CSA in this fun and fascinating film and TV audition technique class designed especially for the working actor!  Patrick's unique detective like approach to analyzing and preparing audition sides and characters will teach you how to easily apply logical forensic and psychological procedures to your auditions. You'll learn valuable information that you can use in your own auditions-tips and insight that you've never hear before! Patrick will also explain the 9 tiered actors must be navigated through by a Casting Director when auditioning for a series regular role in a network TV Pilot. Finances, politics and casting policies all explained and de-mystified!

FORMAT
You will work ON-CAMERA with Patrick using specific sides he has chosen and assigns to you in advance based upon your headshot.   In class, Patrick generously works with you, guiding in style, tone, qualities and skill level, as well as  feedback and adjustments to your scene.

   **Your scene is video taped & made into a movie clip!
      After this class, you will receive an email with a link so
      you can watch your own video clip from this class.

Look out for your sides assignments to be posted under "class sides" approximatley 1 - 3 days prior to the second class. An email announcment when your sides are posted will also be sent.

Meet Patrick while he is in NYC scouting for talent!

Patrick discovered Sean William Scott at the IMTA acting competition in Los Angeles in 1994 and then managed his early career.

Patrick brings a unique perspective to his career as a Casting Director, having previously been a talent agent & manger.

His casting credits include feature films, movies of the week, and network pilots.

Patrick cast the L.A. LAW reunion movie starring Bruce Davison (NBC), the Hallmark movie GENTLE BEN starring Dean Cain, and HALLOWEEN:RESURRECTION starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Busta Rhymes (Miramax). Other features include the forthcoming indies HARD PILL and TWEEK CITY as well as DEFYING GRAVITY and JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH about the infamous Chippendale murders.Patrick cast the Comedy Central pilot and series STRIP MALL starring Julie Brown. Other pilots-to-series include AMC's acclaimed THE LOT and UPN's REUNITED. Last season Patrick?cast a television sitcom pilot for NBC and Paramount Television entitled ALLIGATOR POINT starring Park Overall, Jaime Pressley and Nathan Fillion.?He is presently casting an action feature film starring Steven Seagal and a short film starring Cody Kasch (of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES).
