Jennica Carmona is an award-winning filmmaker and her feature film debut,MILLIE AND THE LORD,won theBrooklyn Arts Council Grant! Shewas also deemed a finalist for theRoy Dean Grantin Filmmaking, and can be seen on HBO.




Jennica’s past credits include working with Lee Daniels during the filming of the Academy Award-winning Film PRECIOUS. She is working on a feature film that is yet to be cast.

She starred in the role of Carmen in the NY Emmy Award-winning show WE ARE NEW YORK, Marela in Nilo Cruz's ANNA IN THE TROPICS (Hippodrome State Theatre),the female storyteller in MI CASA, TU CASA (Luna Stage), and most recently as Elvira in ELVIRA THE IMMIGRATION PLAY (NY International Fringe Festival).She is originally from Rochester, New York and holds a BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.


Format

PREPARATION

This Indie Filmmaker Class will begin with a quick introduction, then dive right into scene work, which you are responsible for providing.  The class will also include a brief Q&A with Jennica.

Be sure to upload your headshot and enter in your credits. It's especially important so that the film director for this workshop can view your online resume ahead of time.
