Formerly a legit agent at Dulcina Eisen Associates, Margaret Emory is currently a legit agent SW Artists, a theatrical talent agency, where she is handling theatre, TV, and film along with working the commercial department. SW Artists is a franchised agency representing both union and non-union talent for Television, Film, Theater, and Commercials (both on-camera and voiceover). We handle adults for all areas and have a youth department for young talent under age 18. Limited freelancing with an eye to sign. She has been a performer and director, headed a national Shakespeare company and served as an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College. She founded The Emory Seminars, a program on “The Business of Acting,” which she has taken to the North Carolina School of the Arts, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Michigan, and the University of Washington. She created and wrote the popular “Ask an Agent” column for Backstage and wrote the popular book, ASK AN AGENT, now in its second edition and available at the Drama Book Shop and at Amazon.com. Margaret is also a song lyricist and tennis enthusiast. She is a member of New York Women in Film and Television.
