CASTING DIRECTOR MICHAEL CASSARA

Meet Michael Cassara - Casting Director, Producer, and Director, working on a multitude of projects in FILM and THEATRE. Current projects include two-time Emmy-winner Robert Wuhl's new play Hit-Lit, the Asia/Pacific tour of Barbie™ Live!, Forbidden Broadway: Alive & Kicking (off-Broadway) and the upcoming Broadway musical Fat Camp.  Some recent film projects have included The Hyperglot (dir. Michael Urie), Grantham And Rose (dir. Tony-nominee Kristin Hanggi, starring Marla Gibbs and Jake T. Austin) and Contest (dir. Anthony Giunta, starring Kenton Duty, Katherine McNamara, and Mary Beth Peil.)  

 

Recent theatre projects have included The City Club (Minetta Lane), Heat Wave: The Jack Cole Project and the  Michael will soon start work on the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival, where he is the resident casting director, in addition to numerous regional theatre seasons and two independent films.
