Alexis Allen from TAMARA LEE-NOTTCUTT CASTING
Alexis is a highly in-demand feature film associate CD who has been working on THREE FEATURES!
She has worked for some of the largest feature film offices in town including Laray Mayfield, Sheila Jaffe, Rich Delia, Bright/Daniels, and currently Tamara Lee-Notcutt.
Selected Credits: To All the Boys I've Loved, Legion, Home Again, Breakthrough, The Nun
The only things you need are :
- Reliable Internet (Ethernet or Fast WiFI)
- A Laptop/Desktop computer is recommended (Phones/Tablets are doable)
- Quiet Room/Space
This class is designed to work specifically on TV and Film audition material with Alexis Allen. In class, Alexis generously works with you, giving you feedback and adjustments to your scene.
Week 1: Bring in your own scene that you have chosen & prepared. Please bring in something that showcases you in the best possible light (2-3 pages max).
Week 2: Alexis assigns you a scene 1-2 days in advance based on your headshot/Next Level webpage.
Please go to MY ACCOUNT to create your One on One Webpage. It's especially important so that the instructor for this class can view your webpage! The area to build your webpage is located under "My Account."
Look out for your side assignments to be posted approximately 1-2 days prior under "Classes"
You MUST have a reliable internet connection in order to have the optimal experience. One on One will NOT credit you if your class experience is affected by internet or technical issues on your end.
The Zoom link for each class is sent out approximately 6 hours beforehand. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the link and to reach out to One on One PRIOR to the start of class if you have not received it. Please be sure to check your Inbox, Promotions, and Spam folders.
If you sign up for an Online Class the day of, you must email email@example.com so you can be sent the Zoom link for the class.
One on One is proud to offer our online classes with casting directors in both NYC & Los Angeles. The start time of the class along with the respective time zone is listed clearly on the class page. Alexis started casting both extras and as an assistant in the southeast on productions such as One Tree Hill, Eastbound and Down, and We're the Millers. She made the move to Los Angeles in 2012 and has worked most notably for Laray Mayfield, Rich Delia, Courtney Bright/Nicole Daniels, Tamara Notcutt, and Sheila Jaffe in recent years.
Alexis is currently the casting director on 3 films slated for a 2019 release, one of which released in April is by Khalid and Emil Nava titled Free Spirit. There's also Lorelei, by the producing team that recently brought you The Florida Project.
She is passionate about actors and creating a more efficient casting process that benefits everyone, while bringing her industry into the 21st century by utilizing the technological tools that are at our fingertips. Her classes focus on audition and self tape tips, as well as how-to's for new and developing actors in representation, headshots, and submissions.
