About David McWhirter▼
David McWhirter is a highly acclaimed TV director. His credits include BLINDSPOT, VALOR, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, QUANTICO, CODE BLACK, along with 22 episodes of MAJOR CRIMES.
He got into the film business after starting out Pre-Med in college. A shared love of Film/TV with his parents led to the revelation that maybe he could scratch out a living doing this and be happy! Got his MFA at CalArts and then tested into the DGA Training Program for Assistant Directing. That led to a chance to direct on 'The Closer', where David's first Episode is the one Kyra Sedgwick won her Emmy for in 2010. Cut to 2018, with David directing 10 episodes, and still managing to have some fun and a life. Next up is 'The Flash' Finale in April.'
