Learn from Acting Legend Teacher Kathleen Turner!

This class will meet 4 times and you will work with Kathleen on monologues, theater scenes and film/TV scenes.


Enrollment in this class is by audition only. The submission deadline has passed and Kathleen has auditioned actors for the class. Please join the waitlist if you are interested, in the event that a spot opens up we will contact you for an audition.

Kathleen's class will meet:
Monday, May 22nd, 11am-2pm
Tuesday, May 23rd, 11am-2pm
Tuesday, May 30th, 11am-2pm
Wednesday, May 31st, 11am-2pm

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with legendary actress Kathleen Turner on all aspects of acting and audition technique.

FORMAT
You will work with Kathleen on a number of audition techniques including monologues and Film/TV sides. In class, Kathleen will generously work with you, giving you feedback and adjustments to your scenes and monologues. Please bring a monologue of your choice to work on for the first class. Kathleen would like this to be a CONTRASTING monologue to the one that you auditioned with.

FIRST CLASS
You will work with Kathleen on monologues of your choice.
Kathleen would like this to be a CONTRASTING monologue to the one that you auditioned with.

SECOND CLASS
Kathleen will provide sides based on working with you the previous day and seeing your monologue work.

THIRD CLASS
Kathleen will assign sides for you to prepare and present in a mock audition format.

FOURTH CLASS
Kathleen will assign sides for you to prepare and present in a mock audition format.


BRING A HARD COPY OF YOUR HEADSHOT/RESUME TO THE 1ST CLASS.

This class is for the serious, professional actor. One On One NYC reserves the right to remove any student from the class per Kathleen's discretion.

About Kathleen Turner

Kathleen is a veteran stage, television and film actress. She came to fame during the 1980s, after roles in the Hollywood films Body Heat, Romancing the Stone, Prizzi's Honor (both of which won earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy), The Accidental Tourist, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The War of the Roses, Serial Mom and Peggy Sue Got Married, for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

More recently, she guest starred on the NBC sitcom Friends as Chandler Bing's cross-dressing father Charles Bing, and in the third season of Showtime's Californication as Sue Collini, the jaded, sex-crazed owner of a public relations company.

Turner also works actively in the theatre, and has been nominated for the Tony Award twice for her roles as Maggie in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and as Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
