SPECIAL TWO-DAY Shakespeare Class with two of the most influential THEATRICAL CASTING DIRECTORS in the business!
The Public Theater is one of the nation's most world renowned institutions, and we are honored to provide this special opportunity to our members. Class size is capped at 10 actors.
The proceeds of this class will donated to The Actors' Fund Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
PLEASE NOTE: This class is specifically designed for actors who have not studied with Heidi or Kate within the past two years.
The only things you need are :
- Reliable Internet (Ethernet or Fast WiFI)
- A Laptop/Desktop computer is recommended (Phones/Tablets are doable)
- Quiet Room/Space
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO STAY THE ENTIRE CLASS AND THAT YOU DO NOT LEAVE EARLY.
First Class: In-Depth Industry Discussion + Q&A. (Nothing to Prepare).
Second Class: Shakespeare Monologues - Please prepare a Shakespeare Monologue of your choice. In class, Heidi & Kate generously work with you, providing feedback and adjustments.

You MUST have a reliable internet connection in order to have the optimal experience. One on One will NOT credit you if your class experience is affected by internet or technical issues on your end.
The Zoom link for each class is sent out approximately 6 hours beforehand. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the link and to reach out to One on One PRIOR to the start of class if you have not received it. Please be sure to check your Inbox, Promotions, and Spam folders.
If you sign up for an Online Class the day of, you must email email@example.com so you can be sent the Zoom link for the class.
One on One is proud to offer our online classes with casting directors in both NYC & Los Angeles. The start time of the class along with the respective time zone is listed clearly on the class page. It is your responsibility to mark your calendars accordingly. One on One will NOT credit you if you did not take the time zone of the class into account.
About Heidi Griffiths▼
Heidi Griffiths (Casting Director) and Kate Murray (Casting Director) work in the casting department at The Public Theater, where they cast a wide variety of projects including new American plays, new musicals, and Shakespeare. They have also collaborated on numerous Broadway and Regional Theater projects.
About Kate Murray▼
Kate Murray is the Casting Associate at The Public Theater/NYSF. Additional Casting Credits include Film: (As Casting Director): A Sea Apart (Independent Feature, dir. Nisan Dag & Esra Saydam), My First Kiss And The People Involved (Independent Feature, dir. Luigi Campi, Enchanted NY (Independent Short, dir. Maria Gordillo), Bumbloods (webseries pilot, dir. Joe Bandelli), various thesis films for Columbia and NYU MFA Film programs, and has contributed casting for CollegeHumor.com. Theater: Broadway: Raisin In The Sun (upcoming, Casting Associate, dir. Kenny Leon), Lucky Guy (Casting Assistant, dir. George C. Wolfe), Off-Broadway: 2013 Cherry Lane Mentor Project, Off-Off-Broadway: Animals (NY Fringe Festival, 2012), Celebration, Rhinoceros, #NYC, Grief ,The Awakening, and Glamdromeda (all with UglyRhino Productions, Brooklyn). Kate also served as Casting Director for the 2011, 2012, and upcoming 2013 BAFTA/Rocliffe New Writing Forum, hosted at the 92nd St. Y as a part of the New York Television Festival (dir. Susan Jacobson). Previously, she was the Casting Assistant at Susan Shopmaker Casting, where she assisted on casting MTV's Skins, as well as helping cast over 200 children and young adults in Tino Seghal's solo exhibition at The Guggenheim Museum entitled This Progress (Feb. 2010).
